I'd seen Amy briefly at the Cambridge Folk Festival a few years ago and had been impressed, but this show was absolutely brilliant. A tiny venue with not the largest of audiences, but Amy, Bobby & Aled tore it up. Everything was there; musicianship, rapport with the audience, strong songs (there's a new album out soon, apparently :-) I wish every Sunday night could be as blissful as this one, but then I've always been a greedy little boy. Oh, and as you may be able to see, Amy wore a Clash t-shirt - full respect.

Opening the night was Bernard Hoskin, singer-songwriter from Cambridge. He played a fine mix of his own tunes, old and new, with plenty of banter to prove that the songwriter's craft is further honed with that tricky first divorce...
